Do you know someone whose kindness, compassion, leadership, or community service has made a real difference in the lives of others?
The COINNS Community Humanitarian Award 2026 has been established to recognise and celebrate exceptional individuals who inspire positive change through selfless service, volunteering, advocacy, community leadership, and humanitarian work.
This prestigious award honours people whose actions have had a meaningful impact on individuals, families, communities, or society as a whole. Whether through supporting vulnerable people, organising charitable initiatives, promoting inclusion and wellbeing, protecting the environment, advocating for important causes, or responding courageously during times of need, these individuals embody the values of compassion, generosity, and community spirit.
Open to residents across the Republic of Ireland, the award seeks to shine a light on those whose contributions often go unrecognised but whose efforts make our communities stronger, kinder, and more connected.
Nominations will be assessed on the basis of four core values:
Compassionate – Demonstrating kindness, empathy, and genuine care for others.
Inspiring – Motivating and encouraging positive change within communities.
Innovative – Finding creative and effective ways to address challenges and support others.
Impactful – Creating a measurable and meaningful difference in people’s lives.
The winner of the COINNS Community Humanitarian Award 2026 will be announced and honoured during the Cork Indian Summer Fest 2026, celebrating an individual whose actions exemplify the very best of community spirit and humanitarian values.
