DESCRIPTION:🏆 Celebrating Excellence in Nursing\nTilex sponsored ‘COINNs Nurse’s Excellence Award 2026′ recognises and celebrates outstanding nurses who demonstrate excellence\, compassion\, leadership\, professionalism\, and a positive impact on healthcare within the Republic of Ireland. \nNurses play a vital role in the lives of patients\, families\, and communities every day. Through their dedication\, clinical expertise\, advocacy\, and commitment to quality care\, they make a lasting difference to the people they serve. This award has been established to honour those exceptional individuals whose contribution goes above and beyond expectations and who inspire others through their actions\, attitude\, and commitment to the nursing profession. \nWe invite nominations for nurses who demonstrate excellence in clinical practice\, teamwork\, leadership\, innovation\, and patient-centred care\, while contributing positively to their workplace\, profession\, and wider community. \nEligibility Criteria\nNominees must: \nHold active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) \nBe currently practising within the Republic of Ireland \nDemonstrate excellence in nursing practice and patient care \nCOINNS Executive Members are not eligible to apply or be nominated \nSelection Process\nNominations for the COINNS Nurses Excellence Award 2026 will remain open until 12 June 2026 at 5:00 PM. \nFollowing the closing date: \n\nAll nominations will be reviewed by the COINNS Awards Committee.\nWithin 10 days of the nomination deadline\, five finalists will be selected.\nFinalists will be notified and their completed nomination portfolios will be prepared for independent assessment.\n\nA judging panel comprising representatives from: \n\nThe Education Sector\nThe Care Sector\nA Quality and Policy Background\n\nwill independently evaluate each finalist using a structured marking framework. \n\nScores from all judges will be combined to determine the overall winner.\n\nAward Categories and Judging Criteria\nNominees will be assessed on their demonstrated excellence in: \n\nClinical Skills – Delivering safe\, effective\, evidence-based care and demonstrating strong clinical judgement.\nTeamwork – Supporting colleagues and contributing positively to multidisciplinary care.\nLeadership – Demonstrating initiative\, accountability\, influence\, and professional leadership.\nCommitment to Improving Healthcare – Contributing to innovation\, quality improvement\, service development\, or patient outcomes.\nPositive Impact – Making a meaningful difference to patients\, families\, colleagues\, and the wider healthcare community.\n\nJudges will also consider the nominee’s ability to demonstrate the following core values: \n✨ Inspiring\n✨ Innovative\n✨ Impactful \nAwards\nThe winner of the COINNS Nurses Excellence Award 2026 will receive: \n🏆 A prestigious Hexagon Crystal Award\n💶 €1\,000 Cash Prize\n🎉 Recognition during the Cork Indian Summer Fest 2026 Awards Ceremony \nAll finalists will receive a Finalist Recognition Plaque in acknowledgement of their achievement and contribution to nursing excellence. \nHow to Nominate\nIf you know a nurse who consistently demonstrates outstanding care\, professionalism\, leadership\, and dedication\, we encourage you to submit a nomination form below and help us celebrate the exceptional individuals who continue to strengthen healthcare across Ireland. \nClick here to submit your Nomination Form\n⏰ Nominations Close: 12th June 2026 at 5:00 PM\nCOINNS Nurses Excellence Award 2026 – Recognising Excellence.
